For more than three years i've been admin for Intersnout. I've decided to end my commitment to the task. I've tried to keep the server running to the best of my effort and even though at times there has been some bugs and difficulties, Intersnout has been stable and running well for the majority of this time. Spork and map were notified a couple of weeks ago of my intention to step down. I suggested several options on the way forward and I was happy to learn that map wanted to take over the admin responsibilites of Intersnout again. The current setup was costly (€129/month) and was becoming difficult to justify. I've covered the costs of intersnout since the day I took over the helm and have had no problems doing so. However at times the negative comments from members of the community has been hard to swallow, especially when the comments were directed at my partner also. I will leave you in the capable hands of map and spork. They've only had a couple of weeks to prepare but i'm sure they will do a great job. When time allows, I'll be back in the game and hope to see you all again soon. - haugsvar
Thanks haug, you have been such a great server admin ! alsways listening to ppls wishes and complaints! good luck in life and hope you drop by sometimes
Thanks Haugs for all the work you've done. The past three years the server has run incredibly smooth. That sets a standard that I hope we can match. You're always welcome back anytime. For the record, Haugs did first notify me about stepping down November 15, but I missed the email until November 27. With Thanksgiving going on and a December 1 shutdown looming, we were definitely in panic mode but we did get the important stuff done in the nick of time. I'll start a separate thread about what we recovered as far as world saves.
Thanks Haugs! See you soon when you play Minecraft a lot more now that you're free of the subconscious load of being an admin. ;-)
